Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technicians (MCDST)

Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technicians (MCDSTs) have the technical and customer service skills to troubleshoot hardware and software operation issues in Microsoft Windows® environments. This program will develop your ability to resolve end-user incident requests in a corporate or home environment and covers system installation, managing access to resources, configuring and troubleshooting hardware devices and drivers, configuring and troubleshooting the desktop and user environments, troubleshooting network protocols and services and troubleshooting and configuring end user systems to resolve incident requests regarding applications running on the Microsoft Windows XP operating system.

Prerequisites: Persons taking this course should have basic computer knowledge and basic familiarity with the Windows XP Operating System, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express and Office Applications.

Objectives:  Demonstrate expertise in the resolution of end user incident requests involving troubleshooting and configuration of hardware, software and network settings by passing the following Microsoft Certification exams: Exam 70-271 and Exam 70-272.

Price:  $3,150 (With Prerequisite class); $2,300 (Without Prerequisite class)
