Welcome to your first semester at Tidewater Community College!

TCC’s FOCUS (Freshman Orientation Centered Upon
Success) is an orientation program that is designed to help you become more successful in college and to ensure that you are able to find your way through the first-year college experience.

Each part is designed to engage you throughout the first year by connecting you to other students, staff, faculty and administrators. These activities will improve your ability to succeed at TCC. More importantly, FOCUS will be your first step toward becoming a lifelong learner, independent thinker and successful citizen.

As a college student, your success depends on how you participate in class, participate in activities outside of class, and use available support resources.
