This orientation will help
you acquire the skills necessary to conduct literary research for
a term paper or other assignment. Works of literature were written
before the computer age so much of the information you seek will be
in printed resources. You'll find books by authors, books about authors,
books about an author's work. You'll also find magazine and journal
and newspaper articles. Researching literature is fun and challenging.
Prepare to spend time in a library.
Basic
library research skills should be reviewed before venturing on
to literature research. *This guide is designed for use at TCC but
many of the resources may be available in other Hampton Roads libraries.
