Small Gasoline Engines |

| Studies small gasoline engine operating principles,
construction, design, variety, and their many purposes. Gives
instruction on two-cycle and four-cycle small gas engines, their
construction, design, fuel system, ignition system, and lubricating
systems. Demonstrates disassembly, reconditioning, overhaul
and reassembly in the lab. Lecture 1 hour. Laboratory 3 hours.
Total 4 hours per week. |
AUT 165 Automotive Diagnosis and Tune-Up |

Presents the techniques for diagnosis of malfunctions in systems of the automobile. Uses dynamometers, oscilloscopes and other specialized diagnostic and testing equipment. Demonstrates tune-up of conventional and rotary engines. Lecture 1 hour. Laboratory 3 hours. Total 4 hours per week. |
